Program Information and Fee Schedule
Fee Schedule for the 2024–2025 School Year
Our fee schedule is based on a 180-day school year calendar and reflects monthly payments, depending on the number of days your child attends each week and their grade level. Payments are due on the 1st of each month from September through June.
All families must create a Smart Tuition account (our billing system) upon acceptance into the program. For further details, please refer to the PSED Parent Handbook.

Here’s an example of our daily schedule.

School Dismissal to PSED
Kindergartners are picked up from their individual classrooms, and all other students walk themselves to their group.
Attendance
Students may use this time to use the bathroom and get ready to go outside.
2:45 PM – 3:30 PM
PSED Recess
3:30 PM – 3:45 PM
Transition Inside
Students wash their hands post-recess.
3:45 PM – 4:00 PM
Snack
4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Choice Time
Choices usually include 2 activities, one is active and the other is a creative/STEM activity OR a full group activity that is picked by the group leaders.
5:00 PM – 5:30 PM
Homework/Quiet Reading Time
5:30 PM – 5:50PM
Tabletop Activities
Students partake in tabletop activities while waiting for parent pickup.
Pick Up and Sign Out Notice
Scheduled Pick Up Times
PSED is in a locked facility, meaning that no one without a key card can enter. For that reason, we offer scheduled times when kids are walked outside to meet their parent/guardian by a Group Leader
- The following times are available:
- 4:00 PM
- 5:00 PM
- 5:30 PM
- 5:50 PM
Occasional Pickup Time Changes
PSED will make every effort to honor occasional requests for pick-ups at a different time if given advanced notice of this need.
We request that any changes to pick-ups be made prior to 2:00 that day to ensure that your request is seen.
Once program begins Coordinators are not able to look at their email often because they are working with your children.
Emergency Pick Up Request
Any emergency pick-up requests that occur after the program has begun must be made by calling the PSED Office at (617) 730-2589.
Important Notes
When is the Program Operational?
- Available on all school days at Pierce School
When is the Program Not Available?
- Afterschool is closed on legal holidays, snow days, and during winter vacation.
What About Early Release Days?
2024-25 Early Release Program
- Our Early Release program is exclusively available to PSED students. To participate, your child must be enrolled in PSED on the day of early release.
PSED will not be open on November 27th (noon dismissal day).
Is There Vacation Care Available?
Yes there is!
2024-25 Vacation Care Program
PSED offers Vacation Care for enrolled students on select days when school is closed. Our program runs from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and the cost is $90 per day.

November 5th: Professional Day
January 29th: Lunar New Year
April 18th: Good Friday

PSED will be closed during the following breaks:
